Well, not only I am happy to introduce this new BLOG category on SharePointAds.com to keep you all informed, I am also excited to let you know that there have been some updates on the publishers side of the network.
1. Every campaign now has a regular link available that can be used in your blog post: if you choose to write about a specific product you will now be compensated if you use this link. Please remember: this link CANNOT be given out directly, through twitter for example, but can be utilized on any page in your approved blog. Vendors are counting on us to deliver the most targeted clicks to them; the clicks that have no referrer url (clicked directly on the link, rather then through the blog post) will be deleted.
- Here is the easiest way to find regular links: Login, go to "Promotions" -> "Campaigns". View ALL but select Banner Type "Link". You will see only links displayed (note the campaign name will show the vendor (please ignore the message "for reporting only" in this case).
2. New template has been utilized to give the system a bit of a face lift. If you don't like the look and feel, no worries! Just go to Panel Settings and change back to the Classic view.
3. Some bugs have been fixed
Quick update: The latest software update has caused a few problems, but now they have been all fixed. Some history data has been lost, but all commissions that were pending and/or approved for June and July 2010 have been entered (June has been paid). All commissions for August missing up to the point of the switch will be manually added when August commissions are due for approval.As always, thanks for participating in our program.
